Detective Zebra & the Mystery of the Missing Tarts
It’s a quiet morning at the police station on Bakery Street.
Detective Zebra is running through the order of the day with his trusty assistant, Dot.
Suddenly, a voice rings out from the dollhouse next door…
“Oh no!”
“The jam tarts have disappeared!” exclaims Mom from the kitchen.
“Who could have taken them?”
Mom decides to call for help.
“Detective Zebra? Please come quickly. Someone has stolen our tarts!”
Detective Zebra is soon on his way ...and on the case.
“Fear not, Mrs. Wood, we shall soon solve this mystery.
Let us start at the scene of the crime.”
“Where were the tarts left to cool?”
Detective Zebra and Dot are on the trail.
Where will it lead?
“Well, well. I do believe we have landed in the garden shed,” exclaims Detective Zebra.
So, Casper and Jasper apologize to Mom.
They learn to make jam tarts for everyone to share.
They clean up the sticky paw prints and help build a new door over the hole in the baseboard.
Now they can knock when they want to come in.
Detective Zebra has an idea. He has a word with the Bakery Street bees.
The bees have a word with the birds
…who drop some seeds to the mice to help them through the cold winter months.
…and bloom into sunflowers.
Casper and Jasper will
harvest the seeds for a winter supply.
No more
hungry mice!
Granny Mouse sends some gifts to say thank you.
Detective Zebra and Dot reflect upon an investigation closed to everyone’s satisfaction.
“Another mystery solved, Dot.
Is it time to make some tea?”
